This model implements the signature as one or more sets of tables that apply when the platform is in a particular 'state'. A 'state' represents a condition such as 'bay-doors-open'. The units for the dependent variable in the tables should be units of radiant intensity (W/sr). **** is the name to be given to the signature. If the name specifies the name of an existing definition then the new definition will replace the current one (i.e. the last occurrence will be used for the simulation.) .. block:: WSF_INFRARED_SIGNATURE Commands ======== .. command:: interpolate_tables Specifies whether to apply interpolation to the defined :ref:`Azimuth-elevation_Table_Definition`. The type of interpolation can be either linear or logarithmic (see interpolation_type_). **Default** true .. command:: interpolation_type Specifies whether to use linear or logarithmic interpolation when interpolating data in the azimuth elevation tables. **Default** linear .. command:: state Indicates that the following table definition will be used when the platform is in the signature state **. If is **default** then the subsequent table will be used if the platform is in a signature state that does not match any of the states defined in the signature. If a **state** command is not specified then the signature has one signature table that applies to all signature states. .. command:: band [ short | medium | long | very_long | default ] Indicates that the following table will be used when the sensing infrared sensor is operating with the specified band. Where: short: 1 to 3 microns medium: 3 to 8 microns (3 to 5 nominally) long: 8 to 14 microns very_long: 14 microns and beyond Every state must define every band or must define a default band. Examples ======== Use a constant signature named *cueball* for all states and bands:: infrared_signature cueball constant 10 w/sr end_infrared_signature Use a band-dependent signature by default and a fixed signature if the bay doors are open:: infrared_signature dummy state default band medium constant 10 w/sr band default constant 20 w/sr state bays_open constant 30 w/sr end_infrared_signature
